Come see the largest tented flower show in the nation! A Coronado tradition since 1922.
The Coronado Flower Show is a slice of Americana. In its early years it was sustained solely by donations from the private sector. Coronado schools loaned desks and typewriters; the Hotel del Coronado provided trellises and tables; and even the local Boy Scout troops camped in the park to provide security for the show and its visitors. During WWII the flower show skipped three years (1943-1946) due to national defense efforts, then resumed in full force in Spring of 1946.
Located at Spreckels Park this two-day event includes landscape displays, a variety of floral competitions, educational lectures and demonstrations, live bandstand entertainment, food, beer & wine garden with locally crafted beers, and shopping. There’s also a Home Front competition which awards exceptional home and business gardens throughout the city.
The Coronado Flower Show is produced by the Coronado Floral Association with support and assistance from the City of Coronado.

The Flower Show is a family-friendly event boasting educational exhibits for novice and professional gardeners alike. This Annual Flower Show promotes the love of gardening and floral design, civic and environmental responsibility, and provides education, resources, and networking opportunities for folks who love horticulture and design.

The Coronado Flower Show features fresh food from local hot spots as well as shopping opportunities. Our Beer and Wine Garden, staffed by volunteers, is a welcomed watering hole for many of our adult visitors. Please take a break from the show, relax, and listen to live entertainment from the bandstand. The Beer Garden is hosted by Islander Beer Club and generously sponsored by CBC.

The Coronado Flower Show is considered a Spring highlight for the local community and visitors from the greater San Diego area alike. The Show kicks off Friday with an enjoyable event great for the whole family, and exhibits are on display for the public beginning 1:00 pm on Saturday.

Glorietta Bay – Yachts with billowing sails dot Glorietta Bay, framed by Glorietta Bay Park with its gentle swimming beach, the San Diego-Coronado Bridge, Coronado Municipal Golf Course, Coronado Tennis Center, Coronado Yacht Club, Bluewater Boathouse Seafood Grill, public marina and boat ramp, Coronado Municipal Pool, Community Center, Club Room & Boathouse, and Glorietta Bay Park.
Silver Strand –You are surrounded by the beach and bay on the Silver Strand, a perfect place to soak up the natural surroundings and habitat. Take a pleasurable stroll or bike ride on the paved pedestrian and bike path (part of the Bayshore Bikeway) past the award-winning Loews Coronado Bay Resort and Spa, Crown Cove Aquatics Center, the Navy’s Fiddlers Cove, and Coronado Cays residential development. Coronado has a proud military history and it is possible to see many examples of Navy training activities along the Silver Strand.
