At this free workshop attendees learned much about the Coronado Flower Show Design Division!

Local instructor and floriculture expert Betty Patterson-del Sol brought some of her students from Southwestern College to share:

– Fundamentals of design mechanics (how to build a floral design from the ground up)
– Design techniques that bring added dimension and personality to your design
– How to move your design concept from “just an idea” into a reality!

This event was a “how to” for participating in the Design Division at the Coronado Flower Show for beginners and the experienced alike!

Blue-ribbon winning judges Carvill Veech, Kathy Taylor, and Diana Drummey provided:

• An orientation to the Design Division
• An overview of the various National Garden Club styles
• Inspiration with their individual approaches to creating
• Meet the design tent chairs and learn how to become more involved in the longest-running tented flower show in the country.
